At Archus my role involves...

I lead our Strategic Property Consultancy team in the South West, focusing on commercial property management, development feasibility and asset optimisation to help bring a thorough and commercial approach to estate management.

I was drawn to healthcare by...

I really enjoy working with clients that have common goals and experience varied challenges. The opportunity to work with and learn from specialist professionals within the industry is rewarding and the ability to help deliver projects that make an impact as incredibly fulfilling.

Memorable career moment?

Being at the opening of a brand new hospital Main Entrance retail scheme that I helped deliver from being involved in the development feasibility, design, funding and commercial structure. Seeing patients, staff and visitors enjoying the facility was fantastic.

Why Archus?

I started with Archus at the very beginning of the journey in early 2017 and the small company feel and family values attracted me to the role. The agile and innovative approach to our work has been liberating; I enjoy working for a company that values its staff so much.

Most significant trend for healthcare in the future?

The biggest challenge facing the NHS is the lack of capital investment needed to deliver modern healthcare facilities. The NHS has an abundance of underutilised and or surplus estate and a challenge will be to effectively unlock value through the re-purposing and redeveloping of land and buildings to deliver clinical, non-clinical and alternative residential and commercial uses that help improve the standards of the healthcare estate.
