#ThisisArchus

Although we are a national company, we work seamlessly across the country as one team.

Once a year, we host an action-packed team away day where we bring together our teams in-person to a national event where we share business updates and discuss strategy, enjoy fun activities, and celebrate our achievements, including our annual People Awards.

Bringing all of our people together to connect, collaborate and contribute to the direction of our business is an important part of Archus culture.

Your career

Shaping the Future of Healthcare

When you join Archus, you'll join a team of specialists who are committed to answering ‘what’s next?’ in healthcare. Working across every kind of health infrastructure project, including national programmes of transformation and investment, you'll be helping shape the future of best practice central policy and delivering success for our clients by improving the health outcomes of the communities and local populations they serve, nationally and internationally.

Our Development Framework

Wherever you are in your career, we know that personal and professional growth is key to wellbeing and career satisfaction. Our People Development Framework has been created to allow everyone to continually access a range of training and development opportunities, across all career stages and professional pathways.

We hold ourselves accountable to the highest professional standards and behaviour, so we support everyone in gaining appropriate professional memberships and qualifications. We’re corporate members of Association of Project Managers (APM), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a founding member of the Health Planning Academy (HPA).

We want people to be able to see a long term future career here, and feel like one of the Archus family. Our Archus development programme helps this by providing people with the opportunity to develop personally and professionally over the years.

Diversity and Inclusion

We pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive organisation, welcoming people with a range of ethnicity, gender, religion and sexual orientation into our team.

Inclusivity is one of our core values, but it’s not enough to just say this. We take active steps to ensure it is engrained and part of our company’s DNA. Whether that is educating ourselves on how we can help overcome racial bias in the workplace and in healthcare, or monitoring our gender split through an annual gender/benchmarking pay review to ensure fair remuneration. Or becoming active members and attendees of the initiatives like Construction Industry Council D&I working group, and Bristol’s Inclusive Property Charter.

We have a Diversity and Inclusion working group where individuals from across the business meet quarterly to monitor and progress our D&I objectives to support BAME, LGBTQI+ and gender inclusivity. This group has recently committed to capturing and monitoring data on our staff demographic, so that we can analyse and encourage D&I in all that we do. We have pledged to apply to the UK Equality Workforce Index – a benchmarking tool for employers to measure progress on lesbian, gay, bi and trans inclusion in the workplace, as well as applying for the Race Equality Charter.

Archus are also a Disability Confident Committed Employer, which means we take a number of proactive steps to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible and also to support any of our team who may have a disability or long term health condition, enabling them to stay in work.

Reward and recognition

Pay and progression

Through our appraisal process, you’ll meet with your line manager twice a year to share your career aspirations and progress. Together, you'll set objectives to achieve your goals, supported by investment in your training and development.

To recognise the efforts we see and reward our people as they deliver for our clients and help us in growing a successful, responsible business we conduct regular pay reviews in line with our externally benchmarked competency-based pay structure, and award bonuses based on both business and personal performance.

Employee Share Trust

Archus is a team and our success is based on our collective contributions. So to share that success, we set up the Archus Employee Share Trust, which is a 10% share in the business owned by all employees. As shareholders, our employees enjoy regular dividends, according to time in the business and remuneration.
