At Archus my role involves...
The delivery of capital projects to provide high quality new or refurbished buildings and infrastructure for the healthcare profession.
I was drawn to healthcare by...
I have had many years experience as a project manager delivering a wide range of projects across multiple sectors. The healthcare projects that I have been responsible for have given me a great deal of satisfaction particularly because of the complexities of delivery- "replacing an MRI scanner on the 5th basement level of an existing building is going to have some challenges."
Memorable career moment?
Being the project manager for the rebuild / refurbishment of my daughters' schools - My eldest daughter was a student at Northampton School for Girls whilst the rebuild of almost the entire school was taking place, project managed by myself. She later moved school to one which provided the 6th form course she needed for her intended career where I had assisted the school in providing the sixth form accommodation. My youngest daughter was a student at Malcolm Arnold Academy whilst the refurbishment to convert from Trinity School was taking place and I was the project manager.
Why Archus?
of it's focus on providing the best possible infrastructure for the healthcare profession.
Most significant trend for healthcare in the future?
The continued required investment to upgrade and replace out of date and life-time expired facilities with the low level of funding that is available.
