At Archus my role involves...

I work at the intersection of healthcare delivery, life sciences, and digital health, supporting organisations in designing and implementing strategies that translate innovation into improved patient care. Drawing on my background as a medical doctor, I bring a clinically grounded perspective to strategy development, ensuring that pathways, operating models and investment decisions are practical, evidence‑based and focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for patients.

I was drawn to healthcare by...

I was drawn to healthcare, and to medicine in particular, by its unique combination of science and art. I was fascinated by the complexity of the human body - its psychology, anatomy and variability - alongside the equally important human elements of storytelling, empathy and collaboration that sit at the heart of care.

Memorable career moment?

During the COVID‑19 pandemic, I had the honour of contributing to a first‑in‑world study on the characterisation of the COVID‑19 virus as part of the national Vaccine Task Force. This work provided deep insight into the disease and helped inform approaches to prevention and treatment by grounding them in emerging evidence. Set against my work on the frontline in A&E during the height of the pandemic, this represented a full‑circle moment - combining clinical practice with research and strategy - and allowed me to contribute to lasting advances in healthcare.

Why Archus?

Having spent several years within the organisation, what stands out most is the opportunity to learn from colleagues across a wide range of disciplines and to apply that collective knowledge in practice. This approach enables services to be developed and delivered holistically, ensuring that advice is robust, integrated and responsive to the complexity of the healthcare landscape.

Most significant trend for healthcare in the future?

I believe one of the most significant trends shaping the future of healthcare is the move towards more personalised care, delivered closer to people’s homes. This shift is enabled not only by advances in digital technology, but by a fundamental transformation in how care is organised and delivered - including new models of working, clearer integration across services, and a greater focus on designing pathways around individual needs rather than institutions. The result of this is harmony across the health ecosystem, with health providers, life sciences organisations, digital and patients themselves working more closely together.
