Anna is the Associate Director - Operations for the Midlands, with a background in project and programme management. Anna now specialises in the delivery of complex HMT and NHSE&I compliant business cases and pre-construction project management for a wide variety of projects and clients.

At Archus my role involves...

Leading the Midlands Business Case delivery team and supporting colleagues nationally with their acute business cases. I also work closely with my Regional Director on the operational running of our region, including business development and recruitment.

I was drawn to healthcare by...

The opportunities to work with varied clients who are all unique but face similar challenges. Healthcare is extremely rewarding as our projects deliver tangible improvements to hospitals, for the benefit of us all. One of my dreams is to receive healthcare in a facility I have helped deliver!

Memorable career moment?

Nothing beats the feeling of walking around a new clinical facility you have helped deliver – seeing 2D design plans you have worked on become a 3D reality. Hearing how much patients and staff love their new departments makes it all worthwhile.

Why Archus?

I was lucky enough to join Archus as one of its first employees. We have managed to keep a small-company, family feel even as we have grown significantly. We recruit selectively and believe in quality over quantity, with personality and attitude being as important as experience. Training and development opportunities are second to none and everyone works together in a supportive environment to achieve our collective aims.

Most significant trend for healthcare in the future?

The lack of capital investment in healthcare over recent years will take decades to rectify. Many Trusts are delivering world class healthcare from facilities that are just not suitable for modern treatment methods. The Health Infrastructure Programme funding is welcomed but more much investment is required to allow our NHS to be the best it can be.
