Archus confirms signatory of Ukraine Business Compact
Archus is pleased to have become a signatory to the Ukraine Business Compact 2023 – a declarative and non-binding statement of international business support for Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine in February 2022, the World Health Organisation has verified over 1000 attacks on health care, with the cost of direct damage to the sector estimated at US$ 2.5 billion. Yet, thanks to the joint efforts of national, international, and local stakeholders, the health system has demonstrated remarkable resilience and there are already examples of early investments into the reconstruction of health facilities. The Ukraine Business Compact was officially launched at the Ukraine Recovery Conference on 21-22 June 2023; an event to help to mobilise the international community to help secure Ukraine’s long-term economic future, including helping Ukraine build back better, as a more resilient, greener, and more prosperous European nation.
Archus was pleased to attend the conference’s UK Business Reception alongside invited guests from 200 leading UK companies, to hear directly from influential voices in the UK and Ukrainian Governments. The event was hosted by the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, The Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP with guest of honour the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
