Celebrating our journey and future:
The 2025 Annual General Meeting marked a significant milestone in Archus’ journey—celebrating our eight years of achievements and reflecting on the exciting direction ahead under the leadership of Victoria Head, CEO.
Since stepping into the role in November, she has been guiding Archus through a period of growth, innovation, and strategic expansion. She shares her thoughts and reflections on the day, highlighting the energy, engagement, and collective vision that will drive Archus into its next chapter.
Catalyst for change: The journey of Midland Metropolitan University Hospital
We began the day by exploring one of our most inspiring projects - Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH). As we gathered in Birmingham, I felt the profound significance of this project. MMUH is more than a hospital; it embodies Archus' values of empowering communities and delivering meaningful change.
MMUH's journey spans over 25 years, with Archus joining the programme in 2021. Fast forward four years, the project evolved from a major construction effort into a community-focused healthcare transformation. MMUH embraced its role as #MoreThanAHospital, serving as a catalyst for social value and neighbourhood care.
Richard Beeken, former CEO of Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, and Deborah McInerney, Associate Director and Programme Director, joined us to reflect on this significant project. Richard highlighted the role a hospital plays within the community, stating:
"The hospital can be used as a trigger point for regeneration." Going on to note the huge regeneration that is being seen in Smethwick, the home of MMUH.
Deborah Mclnerney (Associate Director) reinforced the importance of values-driven decision-making, adding:
"The success of this project was driven by the values that guided every conversation and decision."
Their insights served as a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of collaboration and values-driven leadership we can have in shaping the future of healthcare.
Guided by our North Star: Strategic vision for the future
In the afternoon we welcomed our Canadian team (and others joining remotely) where we dedicated time to our future; where we're heading and how we plan to get there.
We explored our growth strategy, focusing on: sustainable value creation expanding into new territories embracing a confident growth mindset.
Our 3-year strategy (2025-2028) will set Archus up to become the leading global healthcare consultancy by blending local expertise with global innovations to improve patient outcomes. Our strategy focuses on these key pillars:
