Archus working on ambitious new plans for Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Archus is pleased to announce that we are working with Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to develop a long term vision for the future which includes an ambitious plan for a significant redevelopment of the Leighton Hospital site.
The proposals will deliver a state of the art, technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable facility offering exceptional, modern healthcare. Archus is managing the Strategic Outline Case process, delivering project management, health planning and leading the design team which includes architects AHR, cost consultants RLB and engineering by Ramboll.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals needs to transform the care that it has traditionally provided, to meet the future needs of the population which is getting larger, growing older, and has increasing needs. The hospital, in need of significant renovation and upgrade, is unsuitable for delivering modern healthcare services due to its size, layout and extensive repair programme.
Redeveloping the Leighton Hospital site gives a unique opportunity to create a facility that can deliver a new clinical model – a blueprint for providing future healthcare both in and out of hospital.
This will be a hugely important project to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in the local area. Our ambitious plan will deliver a hospital that is fit for purpose for the future and designed around the needs of our patients, their families and our staff. We have a clear strategic vision for the future of Leighton Hospital and we are now working up the detailed costings; achieving our vision is dependent on securing appropriate funding and we will be making the strongest possible case to bring a new hospital to Leighton.
