Archus launches new Estates and Facilities Management team - led by Dr Rachel Dick FRICS, Archus Associate Director
Archus is pleased to announce that Dr Rachel Dick FRICS is joining us to lead our new estates and facilities management team. Rachel and her team will deliver world-class strategic, tactical and operational thinking and systems that will help Trusts to build and manage resilient and sustainable estate and infrastructure; with the ultimate goal of aiding patient recovery.
Rachel has a deep understanding of the data and systems behind the performance of healthcare estate, including its cost to build and operate. This combined with her knowledge of industry best practice is invaluable in helping Trusts control budgets and minimise operational risk. It also informs the decision-making used to successfully deliver new buildings and to repurpose existing estates into safe, comfortable spaces in which to deliver intelligent care services.
Whilst every client has their own bespoke challenges and opportunities, Rachel’s breadth of understanding of a building’s lifecycle - from design and build, through commissioning, maintenance and decommissioning - means she is uniquely qualified to help plan, execute and manage both the estate and its integral services.
Recent completed projects include the outline business case (OBC) for the construction of a new hospital in North Manchester, planning and delivering estate and facilities services for an acute London NHS Trust's community services, as well as working for the Post Office and other high profile client projects.
We are delighted that Rachel is joining Archus. She has an important role in helping our clients to meet the Government’s target of a 40% reduction in greenhouse gases from the built environment by 2050. Much of this reduction will come from transforming existing estate, harnessing efficiencies and monitoring results. This is where Rachel’s comprehensive experience will prove invaluable.
