Archus confirms commitment to apprenticeships. Meet the first ever Archus apprentice (who’s joined as the 70th member of our team too)

It’s always an exciting day when a new employee joins the Archus family – but our newest recruit is making Archus history too, as the 70th member of our team, and the first-ever Archus apprentice.

As demand for our work increases as the healthcare infrastructure specialist, we are continuing to recruit those that can help us deliver. Many of our team bring years of healthcare experience with them, but it’s important for us to find and build up the next generation of healthcare professionals too.

Engaging with the apprenticeship route was always part of our growth plans. So, when our Technical Advisory publishing team told us they needed additional support as part of their work producing and editing quality documentation for the NHS, we knew just who to call.

LDN Apprenticeships was founded in 2010, seeing an opportunity to use apprenticeships as a tool to connect businesses and young people from all backgrounds to one another. Their apprenticeships are open to people of all ages and backgrounds – and their Level 3 Publishing Assistant apprenticeship was exactly what we needed. And that’s how we met Imogen Cappleman, the 70th member of the team and the first Archus apprentice.

A 2021 graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University, Imogen is now working closely with Sue Holding and John Prendergast in the Archus publishing team; whilst also gaining a Publishing assistant apprenticeship (level 3) too. As the Archus Technical Publishing Apprentice, Imogen works as an editorial assistant on NHS technical guidance books; liaising with a wide range of technical authors, undertaking research and proofreading documentation, and also supporting the wider Archus team with quality and creative support.

Our Graduate Development Programme continues to support our vision of building up a new generation of healthcare professionals too; with us recruiting a cohort of new graduates each September to join the business. We’re now on the hunt for our 2022 intake. Find out more here.
