Archus brings healthcare expertise to £1bn Airedale Hospital Redevelopment
Following the announcement that Airedale General Hospital will be in Wave 1 of the National Hospital Programme, a specialist design team has been appointed to deliver the vision for a new £1bn+ Airedale General Hospital, securing the future of sustainable, patient-focused healthcare in the region.
As a leading healthcare consultancy, we have been appointed to provide specialist expertise in this ambitious redevelopment, ensuring the hospital is designed with efficiency, adaptability, and the latest healthcare innovations in mind. As part of the multi-disciplinary design team, we will play a crucial role in shaping a modern, patient-centred healthcare facility that aligns with Hospital 2.0 principles.
We're proud to support Airedale NHS Foundation Trust in reimagining healthcare delivery. Faced with RAAC-related challenges in their existing premises, the Trust is advancing its transformation through the New Hospital Programme. As part of our role, we are developing a schedule of accommodation to support the Trust's SOC submission, ensuring compliance with Hospital 2.0 standards and aligning with projected capacity requirements. We are also supporting the Trust to consider approaches for the NHS Long Term Plan's goal of moving care from hospitals into communities.

We will be working alongside P+HS Architects, AHR, and HDR to ensure the new hospital is designed to meet the evolving needs of patients and staff while integrating cutting-edge digital technologies and sustainable construction methods.
