PEOPLE: Victoria Head joins Archus to lead Programme and Project Management team
Archus is delighted to announce that Victoria Head has joined the firm to lead the growing Programme and Project Management offering. This new role will drive the firm’s commitment to be the partner of choice for our clients, bringing a solid grounding in successful project delivery from inception through to construction and completion.
Victoria is a highly experienced programme and project management leader, with a proven track record in complex, multi-million pound construction projects. She joins Archus from Gleeds, where she was head of healthcare, and was project director for the recent £350m Grange University Hospital, South Wales. The hospital is seen as a blueprint for achieving the Government’s ambition to build 40 new hospitals by 2030. Through a collaborative approach and making full use of offsite construction, The Grange opened four months early to help fight Covid-19 and was delivered under budget.
The move further strengthens Archus’ service offering, and builds on recent commissions including advising on several projects within the NHS Healthcare Infrastructure Plan (HIP), overseeing the updates to the UK Health Facilities Technical Guidance as well as writing central guidance on the future ‘intelligent hospital’. The firm is currently working on 16 major healthcare projects, including nine HIP schemes, with an estimated combined capital value of £5 billion.
I am delighted to be joining the Archus team at this very exciting time. We are on the cusp of a new wave of healthcare development and I’m passionate about making these projects a success for our clients. Changing how we deliver healthcare projects will bring rewards for all and my commitment is that our team will push boundaries in innovation and collaboration to deliver the Government’s 40 new hospitals by 2030. Seeing Archus grow over the past four years has been rewarding to watch from afar and I am thrilled to now be part of that growing ‘family’.
